New Year, New Opportunities Holy Cannoli! It’s 2016! Time to start the year all over
again and jump on those opportunities that will surely present themselves. We all make resolutions, here is one you can
finally keep! Make a resolution to be the best talent you can this year. Here are a few tips that can get you ready to for the after
the holidays season! 1. Check in with your Agent:Send updated photos,
resume, sizes, and materials. This is a great time to make sure that your agent
is up to date on all your information. Update Casting sites, websites, Youtube,
and Reels. Another thing I suggest at the beginning of the year is to send your
Agent a video check in. When I was an Agent, I adored these. Make a 60-90
second video, saying hello, or introducing yourself, (if you have never met),
and state a few of your goals for the year. 2. Get Back Into Classes: Inevitably, you’ve
probably taken a small hiatus from your lessons to enjoy the holidays, but now
is the time to get back into the swing of things! Season picks right back up
after the holidays with Pilot season in the forefront, and you must be
prepared. So get your booty back in with your coach, or classes! 3. Update your Materials: This feeds back into
number 1. This is a great time to make sure everything you have is up to date.
Make sure your resume is tweaked, and all those jobs you booked over the last
few months are added, likewise on all your casting sites. It is not your agent's
job to do this. Make sure they are all up to date, all conflicts included. Also,
make sure you are taping yourself regularly to maintain your Youtube, and
Casting site videos. These should be a reflection of your current ability and
look. 4. Be Available: Make sure you're checking your phone
and email regularly for agent interaction! They cannot book you, or send you on
an audition, if they cannot reach you.
So make sure your ringer and notifications are turned on, and check regularly. Happy 2016 Everyone, I pray it is a blessed and busy one! Feel free to email me for more information. I LOVE Local, National, and International students! XOXO, Courtney |
